The 2022 World cup would be held in Qatar and zaha hadid disclosed the design concept. The only thing i can say about this is "FABULOUS"! These people (Arabs) knowns just how to go all out in there designs and concept.
This is one of five stadiums that would host the world cup. And the design is by Zaha Hadid and in association with AECOM. It was conceived under the guidance of the qatar 2022 supreme committee. It's inspiration was drawn from the heritage of fishing and sea faring of its sited city, al wakrah. located just 15 kilometers south of doha. Construction on the ‘al wakrah’ stadium is set to start in 2014.
